Great site - PLEASE could we have option to modify posts !

The site is fantastic, but I do find it really annoying that we cannot modify/edit our postings after they are submitted

I use a bunch of other forums all using phpbb and they allow this, so I assume it is a configurable feature.

I often wish I could correct/change something in a post, so this would be very useful and I can't be the only one !

It also allows people to self-censor if they have said something they later wish to retract without having to contact a moderator !!

The stuff you mentioned are exactly the reasons why we have the editing switched off. We are a small staff, and not allowing user edits saves us truckloads of time that would be spent on conflict resolution.

It's a bit inconvenient, but it also gives you the opportunity to cross-read your post before you actually post it. In these fast paced times sometimes it's good to lean back and reflect.
