After years of perfect operation, last week TTN came up with a FAE exception 0cc0000005 @ 01fb6948
I contacted TTNs desk who were quick to respond and initially told me to delete .cfg files - which I did. When this didn't work they advised a hard reset and complete re-install. This I did & whilst everything loads OK and goes through the TTN set up procedure, on first try the same error appears.
To me it points to an IPAQ problem BUT it seems to work perfectly on everything else and I have run out of ideas and am looking for inspiration. After two years I have now had to revert to a map in the car!!!!- nightmare!
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanx
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,
Most of the fatal exception errors I have encountered have been down to POI corruptions, usually the bitmaps. Are you using any POI's on your system? It may pay you to also defrag your storage card as they can sometimes cause the same errors.

I had exactly the same problem - nothing cleared it. Then I deleted some of the POI files that I'd downloaded (many from this site) and hey presto! everything's OK again. |

Thanks for the feedback. I've reloaded and cleared the SD card and all seems well but I will have to activate the software - which will have to wait until I get home!
