|
|
Every time I want to check a map or a path using my tom tom 3 on my pda without connecting the antenna, I have to follow this annoying procedure:
1) click on tomtom icon on my pda
2) the tom tom tries to look for my antenna and I have to deny this for two times
3) finally I can use it in "offline" mode
This is really annoying and tonight I discovered that a friend of mine does not suffer this minor problem on his Dell X50.
So, is there a particular setting ????
Thanks a lot |

I have been using TT3 blue tooth. I had the same problem once. The reason is if there is not a GPS receiver configured on the GPS page of Tomtom you will always have this problem. If you want to use TT now I think it won't work. Because GPS antenna is not configured yet. Once you configure it you can use TT without having this problem. |

Uhm thanks but that's not the problem. My tomtom works great with my RBT-1000 Royaltek so...
Last night I looked for the solution on google and found it there. I had to add an entry in the registry of my Pocket PC. Thanks to this new registry key, I can now use tom tom online or offline (unconnected to any antenna).
Thanks anyway |

What was the Registry key you had to add? |

Using a registry editor such as taskal regedit which is free...
you go on:
-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
-----SOFTWARE
----------Widcomm
-------------BtConfig
---------------AutoConnect
Once there select the folder related to the com port your gps is using
then go on Edit/New DWORD value
use this name: "BtBrowserEnabled" and as value (DWORD Data) put 0 (zero).
Tap OK.
It will create a new key.
Open tomtom and everything will be fine.
Hope it helps

You're welcome. This modification is easy and works very well. I use my navigator quite often and needed it.
Bye |
