|
|
I am missing something and cant seem to find out why. I have TomTom 3 on the pocketpc. I want to make a change to one of the voices. So I was trying to expand the chk file first then reencode it using the methods mentioned here. I see the .chk file but no vif. I tried running the viftool on the chk file with no results. Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or if this will even work with the PocketPC version? |

Had some fun creating a voice file for directions. Just wondering if it is possible to create my own voice file for POI warnings similar to the Speed Camera warning one? How would this be done? |

this all sounds good, will have to get around to making a set up myself.
is there a place i can download ready made famous/comedy voice packs for free on the net? (other than do it through the tomtom connected to a mobile phone)
or has anybody uploaded their own for people to check out?

Many thanks for that link Oldboy, i'll keep an eye on that as they seem to have problems with directions cutting off half way through the sentence if you have a updated GO or a 300/500/700, is there any other sites or links that have free downloads? i take it once i have downloaded a voice skin i can put it on other TTG's i just need to copy and paste the data21.chk and *.vif files is that right? |

For the Classic, yes. I assume the 300/500/700 will still have the capability. _________________ Richard

of course there is a turn left - look at the file names (third from bottom) - the descriptions just show 'Bear left' for turn left and bear left.
