checkpoint oversensitive???

just completed my first trip with new setup
mio168, tt3, checkpoint and gpsworld speed camer database
trouble is i kept getting a warning of cameras on nearby roads i wasnr on
plus gatsos on the other lane
is this a setting problem?
noticed the angle setting in checkpoint is this it?
if so whats the best angle to set at

Mine is set to 25, but that does mean some camera around sharp corners are not notified until very close.

You'll not stop it detecting speedcams on the other side of the road, it's not direction-of-travel-sensitive. If you reduce detection angle to 5 percent then it may reduce warnings from other speedcams on side roads or overpasses, that sort of thing, but you'll start missing cams round bends if you're not careful. Like so many things in life it's a compromise, and a setting between 20 and 30 degrees works best for most people.

really thought it was direction sensitive!
is this case with all software
ie copilot, warner poi
are roadangels direction sensitive?
cheers will set to 20 degrees and try that

The only way around this problem is to use GPSAssist in which you can define the detection angle for each POI you use both to the left and right of your heading.
