SPV C500, TomTom and non-TT BT GPS

Dear All,

I have seen the detailed installation sequence for SPV C500.

I have also seen a lot of varying advice regarding using TT/C500 combo with non-BT receivers. This is both on this Forum and elsewhere. Some of the procedures are a bit worrying in that special sequences of turning things on and off are not very practical for everyday use. Never mind bordering on magic.

Is there a tested sequence of setting this up so that it simply works?

Could somebody post it please? Pretty please ...

A bit of magic is involved but fortunately this is a one time procedure. Please look in the CoPilot forum for the details.

You need the latest TTM version to be able to use non-TomTom BT receivers. This new version can be downloaded after you registered for Traffic.
