Anything that reports as version 4.20 is Pocket PC 2003 - earlier versions of Pocket PC are based on (Windows CE) 3.00.

Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition says so explicitly on the About page (in my experience it's based on 4.21).

If you wish to use the Pocket GPS World camera database, I suggest you setup POI-Sync using these instructions. That will allow you to keep the version of the camera database files on your Pocket PC up to date with the approximately monthly re-releases.

In the troubleshooting section, I've spotted a mistake - the latest version of ActiveSync (3.7.1 Build 4034) shouldn't be a problem, even though the earlier ActiveSync 3.7.1 Build 3244 may be. If you get an error, first try File -> Reconnect in POIEdit then, if that doesn't work, reboot the PC and try again.

Once you've got the speed camera files on your Pocket PC (ignore the continental one - that's for non-UK cameras), download and install CheckPOInt 2.0.2 from our downloads page. When you first run CheckPOInt, you get an icon at the bottom right of your Today screen - tap on that to set up the overlays you want alerting on (the speed camera database ones!) as well as other options. The options to start TomTom Navigator with CheckPOInt and shut down CheckPOInt with TomTom Navigator are both popular - that way you fire up your system by running CheckPOInt and shut down both applications by exiting Navigator.

Later versions of CheckPOInt are available, but they make it hard to submit any camera updates you record to Pocket GPS World.

GPSAssist is another way - but I'd try the free CheckPOInt first.
