Hi,
I almost never use exclamation marks ever, even in postcards. But I thought I would as I realised I am the 10 000th person to register on this site's message board .
I have been reading this board for a couple of days and have taken the plunge and ordered a TomTom 3 Navigator BT package to pair up with my HP 4150.

Congratulations. I originally thought you had been pipped to the post by another user, as your user number is actually 10,004. However the user numbers are slightly out of synch with the actual number of registrations for some reason.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to you and everyone else who has joined and participated in the forums over the last couple of years. Here's to the next 10k _________________ Mike Barrett

I am still waiting for my TomTom 3 from GlobalPositioningSystems. Hope it turns up as I have seen mixed reviews of them!

Hi Will,
Congratulations on being the 10,000th member of the forum. :D
Don’t worry about GlobalPositioningSystems. I have bought the vast majority of my kit from them and have had no problems with their service.
The real test of a retailer is how they deal with faulty kit. My first Fortuna Clip-On failed very soon after I bought it and GlobalPositioningSystems offered me excellent advice. Once we’d decided that the Clip-On was dead I was given a returns number and I received a replacement for it a couple of days after I sent the original one back to them.

Welcome, this is (IMHO) one of the friendliest forum sites, glad to have you on board and hopefully the memory card will come in useful! _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

|
|
Hi again,
Been using my TomTom for a week now on my Ipaq and am very impressed. Of course, now I have it up and running, I haven't had to go anywhere I don't know really well in the last week!
The help from these Forums has been very handy and I have checkpoint running in conjunction with the dowloaded Speed Camera database, although in West London there are so many camera I have turned Checkpoint off as it goes off too much.
Cheers,
Will |

Hi WilberDaForce,
Yes, this is a great web site and the forums are very useful indeed, lots of great folk here with all the right answers and the reviews are also great for getting to see whats on offer and how well different systems work.
Best regards,
