I was hoping to buy Navigator 3 with bluetooth to use in a peugeot 206 that I'm due to get. I was going to get it (Nav rather than the car) from Dixons, but they had no idea if it would work in the car that I'm getting. Can anyone help on this point? Or do I need to get an extra ariel wired into the car as well? I've never used a sat nav system before so this is all rather new to me I'm afraid.
Thanks,
Rowan.

hi roger and welcome
it should in any car the only limitations are if there is a heat reflective windscreen fitted but this can be over either by fitting the receiver in the back of the car of usually just behind the rearveiw mirror or if that fails you may have to use a reradiating antenna im not sure if your car will have such a windscreen the best thing to do if this is he package you want then get it and take it from there.
also could you pls not post the same topic twice one post is usually enough hopefully one of the others could lock topic in the tttraffic forum pls

Yes, sorry about that - it was actually on oversight on my behalf - I only realised after posting that it had gone to the wrong forum the first time, but thanks for the advice. In terms of the nuts and bolts of what you need to actually rig it all up - does it all come in the box or do I need to buy a separate holder for the PDA to fit to the car? I'm rather new to the whole thing, but I thought (maybe wrongly) that basically with a bluetooth connection you just bunged the bluetooth bit somewhere in the car and hey presto, away you went. No ariels, no wiring etc etc. Is this right?

If your 206 has an athermic windscreen (our CC did) then you have two choices for positioning the receiver: either on the rear parcel shelf, or in the bit around the rearview mirror. I used the latter, but that was when the TT BT GPS receiver shipped with a mounting bracket that could be stuck to the windscreen. Now they only ship with the bit of metal, and I wouldn't want to mount it upside down on the windscreen on a convertible with it only held on magnetically. If your 206 is a tintop, then it shouldn't be a problem.
