Hi,

Does anyone know if the Comand APS navigation system fitted onto the Mercedes C-class can display the TMC data in the UK? If not, how can this be acheived.

A quick internet search confirms that although the Command system is capable of TMC, there is currently no support for this in the UK.

I suspect this is similar to Renault, where Renault did not pay the license fee to iTIS to allow them to include the TMC data on their CD/DVD. As I don't think the unit is based on the VDO Dayton hardware, you can't use the generic VDO CD (like the Renault drivers could), so I think your only option is to try to pressure Mercedes into sorting this out properly.

Or of course get a PocketPC or Smartphone and access traffic on that ;)

Or change cars, but that would seem a little extreme ;)
