Smartphone mount 'system' for Car and bicycle?

While I'm waiting my life away for my full TTM 5 order, I've been looking at how I'm going to put my phone in my car and also use it on my bike.

Seeing as I'll most probably be using it both our cars (two different makes, one with circular air vents), I need something to swap relatively easily between the two, so a windscreen suction mount seemed the best choice (without paying for two mounts) ?

So my current thinking is the following from Arkon:

Windscreen suction mount & phone cradle for the car(s)
Their 'pedestal for Bikes' mount for the handlebar stem.

Most of my cycling is going to be tarmac with a bit of 'leisure trail' type surface.


Any suggestions most welcome please!
