Can you help please with this problem? I have just bought a Toshiba 800e pocket PC and DConnex GPS DC-230 receiver. I have loaded Tom Tom 3.

I have loaded the GPS manager software that came with the reciever onto the 800e and it works in so much as it recognises the satellites etc, the DC-230 has set itself up on Com 6 (the Bluetooth port) but TOMTOM will not recognise com 6 therefore won't see the GPS Reciever.
Any help that anybody could give would be very much appreciated.

Regards
Rob

Try replacing this driver with version 2.07 from our downloads section

Start > Settings > System > Remove Programs
Remove TomTom GPS
Then do a soft reset
Then install version 2.07

Then set the TomTom GPS to Bluetooth COM 6: and NMEA 38400

HI Lutz, thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction. What I did in the end was to actually downgrade TomTom to version 2.8. Sorry been a little while responding lightening took the PC out.
Thanks.

Hi Lutz, the system is working fine after your advise, thank you very much. I am off to tour Florida (USA) in October will my kit work over there please if of course I buy the necessary map software? Thanks.
