loose connection w/ bluetooth gps in tomt nav5

please can somone help me i have a sony clie peg-nz90/u palm os. 5 with the latest updates from sony (the most important i guess its the Bluetooth™ Setup Utility Software Update, & i also tried it without the updates) and i have two gps navigation softwares tomtom navigator 5 (5.12 with the update) and mapopolis 2.20 , i use a bluetooth gps model gpt-801 (powered by SiRF Star III). I love tomtom but when i use it with my bluetooth gps it disconnects after a few seconds (15s max) but when i use it with mapopolis it works correctly, but honestly tomtom looks sounds and feels a lot better than mapopolis.
