i been using Tom Tom 3 for a couple of months with no problems, last week I bought a Seidio power mount and fitted it. Now I can't get TT to find the gps receiver, other programs (Winfast Navigator and GPSDash) can and work fine.
If I put everything back on to the original y cable TT works fine.

Any clues on things to try

In the TomTom GPS applet, make sure you select plain COM1: at NMEA 4800 . Maybe the "TomTom GPS" selection is too smart for the cradle.

thanks for the reply,
the setting is 'serial cable on Com1' no option for just com1 in TT3 all the other programs are finding the receiver on Com1

what GPS driver version are you using? Have you tried to replace it with version 2.07 (from our downloads section) ?
