I'm not sur if this is in the right section but can't think of anywhere else to post it!

I recently purchased an active car mount for my XDAII and I have to say the quality and fit of the Brodit Mount is exceptional - the only problem I had was getting one ! All of Brodits resellers seem a bit dodgy on the customer relations front (Iwas lucky) reading everybody's post.

I'm sure Brodit would do better if they chose their resellers better.

Yeah - the proclips and mounts are excellent. I've posted in another thread about the length of time it took navcity to dispatch mine.

If there any other resellers out there, please post.

I originally ordered from NavCity but after 1 week and no replys to emails sent I cancelled via FAX. Then I ordered from Handnav - order took 1 week but looking at posts on here I was lucky.

I did a search on eBay and there is someone selling on there with very good feedback so possibly worth a try.

I orders a clip for myself in late Jan and still have not received it, even though HandNav have said that there have sent out two by recorded mail - will not give the Royal Mail reference numbers though!!

Will be calling them tomorrow and expect to blow my top wit them, as every time I call them they say "we'll sort the problem out shortly, please be patient."

Will keep you all posted......

Have you tried PDA Online

We stock the full range of Brodit Mounts, most in stock for next day dispatch.

Nik

Did you get the Brodit Active Mount with the inbuilt speaker and gps conector.

I recently bought one which is very good apart from it stops the phone working hands free? when plugged into the mount it disables the xdaii mic.

I've ordered two Brodit mounts from HandNav. Requested next day delivery and nothing yet, the order is still 'processing'. At least they could mail you to tell you the order is delayed and give you an expected despatch date Rolling Eyes

Simon.

I got my brodit pro clip from navcity
Took over 2 weeks to turn up
They didnt reply to 8 emails (I had 2 outstanding orders) and no-one rang or emailed me to say they would be delayed

When I rang they said they all come from overseas and are all special-order so take 10-14 days

I think its very wrong of these companies though to not have that on their website or at least send a courtesy email explaining how long its likely to take

Its even worse if they take your money for next day delivery, but I bet they will just say its next day from when they receive the item!

A week later and still no mounts or expected delivery date. They haven't replied to my e-mail asking what the lead time is on the mounts.

One thing they have managed to do is take payment from the credit card...

Ordered a Brodit Proclip and a Smartclip from Handnav on the 1st March.

Got an "Order Processed" email on the 3rd March

A "Released" email Thursday night (17th March) and theyarrived yesterday (19th) Morning.

Not that bad, just slow.

BTW, Proclip is very very good, however, the Smartclip doesn't seem to fit too well on my car, although it hasn't actually come off yet so it might be psychological, or I might not have followed the instructions correctly.

Got to speak to HandNav on Friday, it seems the mount will be in to them today. Sounds like they hold no stock and only order back to back against customer orders. I guess 2 weeks would be the norm for anyone ordering from them.

Actually took another week, so three weeks in total. It was worth the wait though, the Brodit mount is excellent! :D

Anyone know of the alternative retailer to HandNav? Just I need to order some new smartclips, and I'd quite like to get them before May ...

TIA
