Stickies and Info Messages

I frequent quite a few Web Forums. PocketGPSWorld takes the prize by far for having the most Sticky and Info posts stacked at the top of each group!. In some cases like TomTom Go nearly a whole page scrolling is required to get to the latest post. Whilst I suppose this is a good thing - I would like it if the indicator icons to the left of these posts were a different colour (say yellow) to enable a rapid scroll to the latest post. Apart from this minor frustration it is an excellent resource. Thank you to all you you people who have made it what it is.

Some of the stickies certainly age over time - if you come across one that you think is no longer appropriate let us know and we'll unstick it...

I've unstickied and locked a few threads in the TomTom Navigator forum that had become very dated this evening.

If anyone else has any threads they wish to nominate for removal of Announcement or Sticky status, please post them here so that we can take a look.

The situation in the TomTom Go forum is that we post an Announcement thread for each new review relevant to that forum. Most of the material stuck to the top of that forum is to do with reviews.

I would suggest that an idea would be to have an Announcement thread at the top of each forum.
All announcements would then be in their own thread rather than clogging up the page. The newest announcement would always be at the top and the rest could continue to reside below it.

Obviously the thread would have to be locked so only official announcements could be posted but it would cut down clutter at the top of certain forums.
