8O Uh; What kind of sofware does it use? TT3 nav? And your sure that has postcode search as well?

Do you pay the subscription for traffic information only or also for map updates?

If the answer for all of the above is yes, would you say that maps are really up to date... like copilot 5?

Thanks

Hi

Rento you wrote " Also a previous post on this thread commented the product (CP5) as being superior to tt3 nav"

I bought CP5 and in my humble opinion CP5 doesn't hold a candle to TT3. I found that out on the open road both performed well, but when it came to finding your way through a town centre traffic system CP5 couldn't hack it at all and kept giving me instructions too late to make the turn. I tested both in Reading (which has a nightmare traffic system) and found that CP5 simply couldn't hack it, whilst TT3 worked fine.

(any CP5 diehards out there please note this is just my experience, and I do not want to start another lengthy TT3 v CP5 debate !)

Ted

I think it's time to bring this thread to a close. The original problem the "open letter" asked for a solution to - namely the dysfunctional address lookup in TomTom Navigator 3, was addressed by TomTom in Navigator 3 3.03. That version also patched the place name database to add back many of the "missing" places.

Public thanks go to TomTom for responding to this problem.

I'm going to lock the thread and remove the Sticky; it's an old issue which no longer needs to be stuck to the top of the forum.
