|
|
Someone gave me a TOMTOM .gps file which was created in TOMTOM v3, and is the result of recording a route.
I;ve looked at the POI conversion utilities, and none seem to recognise the .gps format (I've tried renaming to the listed TOMTOM file extensions eg .ov2 etc - but to no avail).
The file is obviously binary - and therefore can't be interpreted without knowing the structure.
How do I get this into an autoroute Route or pushpin list ?
(PS I use POImanager).

TomTom log files are not binary. They are plain text, at least when you use the NMEA protocol. If that file is SiRF then you are outta luck. _________________ Lutz

Try LogConverter in the Program area on http://rjdavies.users.btopenworld.com It will read .gps files _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |

Thanks - but it doesn't work.
It reads the file - but says '0 records read'. I can see the file is 71K - so must contain something !
The file was generated from TOMTOM3, and a Fortuna GPS using the record feature..... |

If you email the file to me I will see if I can sort it out. _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |
