@MaFt

On the download page is an option 'No Voice Pack Required'

Would it be possible to either opt for no icon pack ?

As above, the latest Garmins have a high resolution screen and the 22x22 icons are very small on these screens.

Of course, with each new download the smaller icons are included.

[Please ignore while I retest - I think this was because I copied voice files from CSV to GPX rather than the directional versions from CSV Direction Converter.]

Hi,

I've been using Kremmen's CSV Direction Converter and CSV to GPX Converter for some time successfully.

I've just upgraded the programs (uninstalled old versions, installed new - running 2021.03.10.91) after I got an error on an old version, but I'm hitting snags.

Direction converter appears to run fine and my working directory now has directional csv files, as well as 22x22 bmps (copied in again from latest CSV to GPX Converter folder).

Initially I kept the voice files I had been using successfully in the workding directory.

CSV to GPX Converter reports "THE FOLLOWING PICTURE FILES WERE NOT FOUND:" but listed under this are only CSV files.

When I closed that warning dialogue, the main screen listed the the CSVs and BMPs with a red background, but voice files as green.

Bottom status reports: "CSV file(s) found", "User settings loaded", PGPSW database is current", "POILoader and SOX.exe found".

Working Folder Read/Write/Delete OK, Initialisation Complete, Working Folder Set shows correct folder. Testing working folder reports accessible.

"PGPSW Camera files folder" at top of screen is pointing to my correct working directory which contains the relevant files. I've also selected it again in Program Options to be sure.

I can't see the POI Loader directory detected as that is cut off but if I check in POI Loader it is pointing to correct working directory.

Folder path is 43 chars.

I noticed that the capitalisation of file names on the CSVs is not the same when displayed in the program, but my working folder is set as case-insensitive and even after renaming files to test, they are not detected.

I have tried renaming my working directory (just in case) and setting it again in the program. Same result except that now the identication of the working directory and POI Loader directory is in red text.

I then deleted all voice files and copied in the Male set from the installer folder. Now all three panels list filenames with a red background (i.e. the voice files now have a red background rather than green).

I CAN "Process" the files and end up with new GPX files in the working dir, but the program reported that voice files (all as far as I could tell) were missing at the end of processing.

I know I must be doing something simple wrong since it's working for others, but any hints most welcome at this stage.

While you're testing .......

The program looks at the left CSV list and looks for the corresponding BMP and WAV files.

If not found, the appropriate panel turns red/pink and should produce a popup with the files you need to copy into working folder.

If all else fails we can do a TeamViewer session, that I've performed a few times, so it can be sorted.

Yes, that was the problem.

My working folder had old bmps and voicefiles. When I copied my directional voice files in, they showed green and later went red when I mistakenly copied in the set from the "CSV to GPX Converter" installer folder rather than the "CSV Direction Converter" installer folder.

Realising that I then copied in the BMPs from the "CSV Direction Converter" installer folder and it's all working. I hadn't realised there were directional specific BMPs.

Sorry for generating any confusion here.

I used to have a folder that contained all the different type of voice alerts and pictures you could have for the speed camera to appear on the nav, I ended up deleting the folder by mistake and can't find on here why I downloaded it from, it also had the red speed voice files on which I have lost and the standard weekly download doesn't seem to have the red speed.wav files.

Any help appreciated...

The female voicepack is the one that is available as a single download.

The CA one is the voicepack as used by CA and is slightly different.

Just click each one and let WMP play them to see which you prefer.

not used in a while and found my old driveluxe 50 so thought would install and give a test

bug found that causes the app to crash with an exception error which occurs if you select poi loader but don't have it installed.

not sure if you are still updating the app but a simple ifexists check will resolve this

Yes, still maintaining it.

Is that version 1 or 2 ?

I've been concentrating on V2 recently as it's less code because it's a simpler interface.

Let me know if you want the source code again, and which version(s)

Small change of strategy :

Rather than throw an error, if POILoader is not found then the 'Launch POILoader' menu option is disabled and hovering over it will throw a ToolTip saying that POILoader is not found.
