'Inadvertently going over the speed limit' is driving without due care and attention. Shocked

Well, my aim is always to stay within the limit, hence why a simple CA display showing the speed limit for the road I am driving on, would be really useful. If that was combined with the existing overspeed setting, it would be even better. I must say that my best friend in the car is my speed limiter - but that needs to be constantly adjusted manually as the limit changes. An automated system would allow me to pay full attention to the road...

However, having the audible warning if you approach a camera whilst inadvertently exceeding the speed limit would be the icing on the cake !

Get a Honda. They can do that by reading the speed limit signs by the roadside. The only downside is that mine occasionally reads a 30MPH sign as 80.
The 'problem' with CA not being able to display current road speed is that they don't have access to that data, only map slices. Apart from that, if you were to take the limit in force from their (or any other map provider's) data, you would be foolish indeed as they are not particularly accurate and speed limit changes take a long time to 'filter through'.

Looking out of the window is a tried, tested and pretty much foolproof method of knowing the current speed limit. Very Happy

A Garmin PND has the facility to bong at you when you're over the GPS speed for the road.

Of course it needs Garmin to have the latest speed limit data but it seems quite good.

Yeh, u get that with a lot of apps or they say app was not optimised for this device.

As fa's as I'm concerned if it still works then nothing to worry about.

Not sure why others saying it don't work, but I'll set it so running in background and see how it goes.
