I’ve now been told by Nissan to use a different download procedure so will try it later this week and report back.
However, can somebody confirm how they manage to get details of types of cameras shown on Connect3 screen, i.e. a screen width banner with warning text contained therein?

I have downloaded the camera datbase, followed the instruction on how to download and install onto the Nissan Connect, installed the file on the USB stick, installed into car, file in correct place, but it show nothing when I drive past know mobile camera’s, haven’t tried fixed camera’s yet.
I have checked that the file is loaded into the correct place and everything looks great, but still se nothing on my screen nor bleeps ... very frustration, anyone shine some light on this as I see very little input from Nissan Connect drivers on this site

I agree there is not a lot of recent activity here but there has been in the past, particularly after I joined Forum!
Initially I had a problem downloading the speed camera data on my QQ.
This was because I did not extract the data from the database correctly.
When you connected the USB stick did screen show something like no audio files and then asked you if you wanted to replace existing POI files?
My Connect 2 System gave a ping when approaching mobile/fixed camera locations, a small camera sign on road location and box in bottom RH corner of screen.
To get warnings, type of camera and speed limits I had to download Database onto my mobile phone. Not ideal but useful if camera is SPECS variety
Hope that helps.

As previous, I have followed instructions to the letter, the speed camera data base is and has been downloaded onto the Nissan Connect.
Navigation, destination, points of interest,my points of interest,mypoiwarning,pocketgps.uk.sc, I can even call up cameras that are near my house and the Sat/Nav will Direct me to it, but will not show it on the screen, I currently use my IPhone as it’s more reliable, but would still like it on my Nissan Connect

Well your in the same position as me then.
I have asked other Connect users the same question and the answer is always the same. Just a bleep and box on screen.
I use my iPhone to get rest of data.
Sorry cannot be of more help.

Stupid question but I'll ask anyway, have you turned the 'on and beep' option to on in the 'my poi's' menu?

I have been using the database since I installed it on my 2014 X-trail and all it shows is a camera icon on the road and a camera icon in the bottom corner with distance, but it did show all the different types of camera but just used the same icon.

I have just bought the new facelift X-trail and hoped that they had improved the system but alas no, still the same icons. It's not the databases fault it's the connect system software.

I also dislike the fact that it tells me of cameras in a radius to me that are not even on the road that I am driving on, nor does it distinguish my direction an tells me of cameras that are on the oposite carriageway that dosen;t affect me.

Hi all
Finally downloaded the speed camera data base ion the Nissan Connect, the secret is that one should always follow the instruction as printed.
I thought I had, but alas I didn’t check the I had put the correct name into the folder, always check, and double check that you have Upper and lower case when you make up your folders on your memory stick.

WOW. What a revelation. Shocked
Presumably most people have heard of the initialism RTFM, but chose to ignore it on occasions, then bleat that 'it doesn't work' because they don't RTFM.

99% of the time manufacturers don't consider speed cameras when speccing their head units.

As posted above, normal 'navigate to' POi's work OK.

If you do manage to get reliable advance warnings of cameras well done as it's usually a fudge.

Agreed the Nissan Connect System is poor.
There has not been any updates of their Speed Camera Data since September 2017 so I always keep my iPhone and SD card CameraAlert Database up to date.

Yew, it's your forum time settings that need changing.

I'll bet you're set to GMT.

If you leave it till the end of October it will fix itself though

Thanks Kremmen.
I’d assumed the time would change automatically in Spring and Autumn, as it does in the other Forum I belong to.
I have done update now.
