I'm all right Jack, then?
The cut and thrust of this thread is "CamerAlert on Apple Devices", not the use of the PGPSW database on other devices. Rolling Eyes
Those fanboys who spend far too much money on a device because it's name begins with an 'i' are silly IMHO, but that's also food for a different thread.

Just as silly as people who buy a Bentley/Porsche/Aston Martin because it's just a car.

The best selling car isn't the least desirable or cheapest.

I haven't got a Bentley/Porsche/Aston Martin. I haven't even got a Ferrari. A complete Saddo! Sad

We have submitted our iOS11 update for CamerAlert to Apple and are currently waiting for it to be approved and made available for download.

It was at first rejected and we are awaiting a further review from Apple. Apologies, the process is taking a lot longer than anticipated.

Until the app gets accepted, we would advise that you hold off on updating to iOS 11 if you wish to retain use of CamerAlert.

You can be assured that feverish work is going on in the background! We want this resolved as much as you.

Again, sorry.

Thanks for the update Rob. Did they say why they rejected last time ?? I know you’ve previously had issues with them because of the purpose of the app but apps like Waze and Tomtom etc have all included camera warning stuff and they get past it.

Hopefullly anyway they will clear it. Thanks for all your guys hard work.

Regards
Adam.

Also the most expensive phone is not necessarily the best Shocked Just paying a premium for the name. A Ferrari IS a better engineered car than most of the cheaper models, but whether it is worth that much extra is debatable. Same with iStuff.

Thanks for the update Rob. I apologise for previously having a go at you guys for not keeping us updated, I know now you’ve been doing your best.
Let’s hope Apple come to a compromise and ok it soon.

I'm not sure that "compromise" exists in Apple vocabulary

Rob,
1. Thanks for the update. Great to hear you have managed to get the app updated and submitted to Apple.
2. Understand that software development is not a simple or straightforward matter and providing estimates in advance is next to impossible.
3. Apple approvals are a nightmare even with the simplest of apps so good luck.
4. please keep us updated with significant progress (no doubt if/when the app is approved a newsletter special edition will happen with fanfare and bells Very Happy )
