Seidio amplified mount, tomtom and axim X30

I have one, sometimes it goes not let the gps get a signal, I have to take the pda out and push it back harder. I'm worried I might damage something. Total PDA have offered to replace it but I don't want another if I'm going to ahve the same issues.

Has anyone else got this set up? If so does it work?

I have a similar setup with a X3i and Seidio G2500 so the same mount and connector. It worked perfectly from March to last week when it started 'locking up' intermittently. I found tilting the X3i forward a faction helped but it looks like the connector on either the mount or X3i are on the way out.

I've ordered the tomtom car kit, I'll send the old unit back at somepoint for a credit note or put it towards the tomtomsdk
