Onyx (RFg) 2000 Opinions?

I used to Have a sapphire, but have recently seen advertised an Onyx. Not the original RFG-1000 but a new RFG-2000. I can't find too many specs on it on the Royaltek site, such as whether is it SiRF STAR, and I haven't seen any reviews.
Has anyone got one of these that can comment on it's performance?

The Onyx was the RFG-1000 and the Sapphire the RGM-2000. The Onyx has now been updated to the RFG-2000. Unfortunately RoyalTek aren't giving out many specs. If it's anything like the RFG-1000 it was an 8 channel receiver without a processing chip so you had to use memory and processing power on the PDA (with a software driver) to process the GPS data unlike regular 12 sat receivers which have on-board chips and memory to do this.
