Average Speed cameras coming on A217 North of M25 in Surrey

"Motorists who let their right foot fall heavier on the accelerator in between speed cameras could be forced to slow down when Surrey County Council's first average speed system is installed between the M25 and Banstead.

The cameras will be introduced over the next few months on the 40 miles per hour A217.

Motorists will be familiar with the traffic enforcement which has been used on the A3 and M25, roads managed by the national Highways Agency. However, this is the first time the cameras are being permanently introduced on a Surrey County Council-maintained road.
