That didn't go well at all, I got the back off easily enough, but the two tabs arrowed earlier had some see through yellow tape on them, which I had to remove, and it ripped off the end of one of the tabs so I now have a none working tablet.
Not sure where I could get it fixed at a sensible cost, as I still have a use for it ad a music player in the camper withe KS Hive bluetooth speaker.
Any ideas? |

That's tough, both the ones I repaired did not have tape over, is it the clamping clip or ribbon cable damaged, perhaps they tried to overcome this problem of coming adrift in later production. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

It's the ribbon cable itself, I agree the reason the tape was there.
I'm well miffed, looking to replace it with one of these, but a little concerned about the Glonass, need advice on that before buying.

Wouldn't a review site mention that though? |

They do HERE
GPS / A-GPS is a generic term for the American system. A-GPS is Assisted GPS that uses the American system and downloaded data for a quicker fix (they say) and GLONASS is the Russian system. So if it says GPS/GLONASS, it would be capable of using either/both for a fix.
Hover over where it says 'Positioning' in the spec. |
