Has anyone any idea if you can use the Speed camera database using iOS 9. I assume not as I understand Apple have blocked off access using imazing and the like to place the POI files etc.
If not can I use the Camera Alert app along side TomTom app?
Or is there another way to get the camera alert?

Thanks

What's wrong with using CamerAlert standalone App?

Isn't that what the OP wants to do?

Thanks for the response.
For clarity, today I use the camera alert database and import into TomTom weekly using imazing. I have deliberately not upgraded to iOS 8.4 etc because Apple have blocked file sharing and I don't want to jailbreak my iPhone to make this happen.
Therefore I would like to continue if possible with graphical and audio alerts when I get a new iPhone which will have iOS 9 installed.
Will Camera Alert provide what I am looking for giving graphical and audio alerts whilst using the TomTom app and work with iOS9?
Thanks again for input.

no. He wants to put the DB into TomTom, as into a PND. Used to be possible with jiggery-pokery but not now I think. Can't be sure cos I haven't got TT.

OK, I see, but surely his second bit is can he run CA at all on iOS9 either importing into TT or as a stand alone CA app.
Unfortunately I don't have the answer to either, so I'm outta ere.

I censored-well hope it will run on iOS 9. My iPhone 6 Plus is only on iOS 8.4 and I don't know what the 6S will have, but there is not yet an upgrade. I just naturally assume the standalone App will run on any new iOS so if it won't I hope PGPSW will tell me before I'm daft enough to update.

Perhaps that's why the OP asked. To avoid the major angst if it doesn't. It's not entirely unknown for iOS or android to stop things working by lockdown.

CamerAlert runs under iOS9 but there are some issues with the app no longer filling the screen. You get black bars at top and bottom thanks to a last minute change to an API.
