Righto.
This is dong my head in. It just won't work for me :-(
And the app doesn't look right either, the icons on the bottom are all big and blocky, it looks like a 90's video game!

Something's not right.

I have reinstalled it several times now, and at no point have I ever got the 'Cameralert would like to send you notifications...' Message. It just keeps telling me I should upgrade my phone to ios7 ????

I have no issues with a single their app, it must have a glitch.

Try the Preview button, then read and correct what you have written before you hit the Submit button?

I'm posting via Siri dictation on my watch, it doesn't allow preview sorry :-(

Anyway, I have an answer. The app needs an update.
With iOS 8.4 the way APN's (notifications) work for location based apps was changed by apple and a new line of code is required.

If you installed an app and then updated to iOS 8.4, the app will work as it did previously. You can even delete it and reinstall it and it will still retain all its pre 8.4 functions.

Because I was already at 8.4 wharf I first installed the app on my iPhone, the line of code is missing and notifications will not ow and never will work until thine is added to the app.

What's the chances it will be updated? I notice on the App Store there have been no updates since 2013.

?

Thanks Deninis.

Mine doesn't look like that at all :-(

The camera icon at the bottom is just a blue square on mine.

I wasn't swearing above BTW, I'm surprised such a commonly used word has triggered a filter!

As Apple are not in love with CamerAlert (it is still, I think, under threat of deletion from App Store for some obscure reason known only to Apple) I think updates are a problem.

So, here are two suggestions...

1. Restore your 6 from your work 5 and see if that sorts it.

2. Steal and keep your work 5.

There, see, I have overcome my techno numptyness to really help you out. Surprising really, because I have no idea what you are on about with wanting camera warnings on your watch. Is it true it has only a 17 hour battery life? How do you set an alarm to get up and how do you know when to leave work tomorrow?

A lot of commonly used words are swear words - like Censored for instance. Twisted Evil

On iOS7 I know you had to have received a notification before it showed up in the list of apps in the notification settings.

Have you driven past a camera location with the app in the background to trigger any notification?

Also, as Dennis stated, Apple have an issue with us but we're not allowed to discuss the issues that seem to keep changing because it's not allowed in their developer's T&Cs...

Thanks both.
Yeah, I have driven past a camera with it.
Apple are a law unto themselves Laughing Out Loud.

I'm liking your last suggestion Dennis, my Mrs need a new phone..... Haha.

TBH, I don't get the problem with the watch. If you leave everything running, like it measuring your pulse every 5 minute etc I can see it not lasting long, but I have everything turned off except the things I actually use and get 2 days easy out of it. And I charge my phone every night anyway so there is no issue just plugging the watch in as well. The alarms work if it's on charge, and in the next OS version it will have a dedicated 'nightstand' function.

Thanks again guys :-)

I also do not have cameralert in Notifications on my 5S, I'm also running iOS 8.4.

Seems to be a Bit of a discrepancy there.

Aye, seems so. Seems to work for some but not for others.

A friend has just bought an Apple watch having been so impressed with mine, he uses PGPSW via the app and it did appear immediately in his notification centre, however I can report that while the 'banners' do come over to the watch, it does not trigger a wrist tap, so no use anyway really. So you do get the alerts notifications on the watch, but no sound or wrist tap.

:-)
