That's right, I've bought a Garmin 600 and know NOTHING about it.
I'm quite conversant with my iPhone and such devices but my dilemma is that I'd like to use the Garmin on a trip to Europe which just happens to leave on...Monday!
Yeah, a real planner here!
Maps are my challenge, I was shocked to discover that I don't seem to be able to pick up "Western Europe" and rock on..HELP!
I need Some of Norway, Normandy and the Copenhagen area, is this too much to do on short notice?

Thanks for any advice...

@sussamb
Thank you very much for the input, it's clear that the new toy isn't gonna be making this trip but I certainly look forward to learning the system.

Truthfully, the biggest factor in the purchase was the apparent price markdown ($200 or so), my experience is that that's usually a precursor to a new device eclipsing the one purchased. I HATE "device envy" but frequently fall prey to it!

Fortunately, the vendor (REI) offers a refund if not "satisfied" so I will have a while to experiment.
