Don't worry, the same thing happened to me.

Whoever is putting together the boxes forgot to include the Connection instructions, fortunately it's pretty easy even without these.

1. Go to the Today screen on your PPC.

2. Tap the Bluetooth icon at the bottom left, make sure BT is turned "ON". You should see a blue flashing LED on the front of your PPC.

3. Make sure your BT GPS is switched on and that the blue LED on this is flashing.

4. Via the BT icon again, open the "Bluetooth Manager".

5. Tap the "New" menu and select "Connect!".

6. Make sure "Explore a Bluetooth device" is highlighted and tap "Next"

7. Under the device heading it should say "<No device selected>..."
Tap this to search for your BT GPS. This can take a few seconds, during which the BT logo at the top right will continue to rotate.

8. You should see "BTGPS..." as an available device. Tap the icon when it appears.

9. Tap the Serial Port icon listed in the service selection box. Tap next. NOTE: Make sure you leave the box unchecked where it says, "Use a secure encrypted connection".

10. Once your Pocket PC has established a connection, tap the Finish button.

11 You should see the My Shortcuts screen with your BT receiver listed (it will appear as "BTGPS XXXXXXX:Serial Port" where the X's are letters and numbers). Tap and hold the icon for your receiver and select Connect from the pop-up menu.

12. Close out of Bluetooth manager. Your GPS is now ready to connect to CoPilot.

Launch CoPilot and from the GPS menu on the main toolbar, select Options. Tap the button "Setup GPS". Make sure "Connection setup" is on "Automatic" and tap Next. It should now scan for your GPS. When it finds it, confirm/ok the resulting screen and you're good to go.

That should be it! Let us know how you get on.

Still haven't managed to pair up the co pilot gps, it doesnt seem to want to play. I borrowed my brothers tom tom gps and it set up ok with 2210.
wont seem to run co pilot though, I get the start up screen of co pilot then the busy icon just hangs on the start pageI have tried soft resetting to no avail. I think im going to throw it away and get something else, i am very fed up. I have had the thing almost a week and have not been able to use it. 300 quid up the spout.

Before you actually chuck it, post a position from whence it'll be thrown so we can race there and catch it Laughing

Regardless of managing to get CP5 to launch, can you pair the CP GPS unit ? That's your first need. You can verify the pairing is working and the unit is outputting data via GPSInfo, GNSTester or a similar program - we all have our personal favourites on that one.

The inability to launch CP5 may be down to lack of free available memory in your iPaq (I've had the same happen to me - with other programs) and when I've freed up memory it's launched perfectly.

Freeing up memory (in my case) was achieved by uninstalling some stuff I no longer used, moving some rarely used stuff to the memory card and emptying my PocketIE's temporary files - your mileage on this one may vary of course!
