I've had an old garmin 550 for years now and it does all I want it to do on the car and motorbike. Smile

Now I have a caravan, I find it difficult to programme a route avoiding steep hills. tight turns and narrow roads.

I've seen that there are dedicated units from TomTom, but there seems to be several poor reviews by users. I don't know if Garmin do one?? Mio (is that the same as Navman?) do something where one can select truck mode.
I wonder if there's a downloadable program for my unit?

Or, has anyone a good experience to relate? Lots of questions, I know. Embarassed

I have a mid range budget, as it will be a secondary unit to the trusty 550.

We know that these dedicated satnavs make an attempt to avoid problems for large vehicles but my question is "do the pas contain sufficient information for the satnav to know when corners are tight, the roads are narrow and the hills are steep". Probably yes to the latter but I'm not sure about the others.

mikewall has recently written a review of a new TT 5150 pro.

It sounds pretty good.
