Have just completed an update on my 720 with the the 920 version map. The Mapshare corrections went from 37807 to 45120.

Confused, I am. Confused As others are saying they haven't received any Mapshare corrections since updating their maps.

However I have been getting a server error message, which as normal I totally ignore!

It's been the A1175 for the past few years!!!!

Have you told Tomtom about this change on the Mapshare Reporter website?

Steven

I submitted a report last week about some roads, in France, not being correct.

Today I got a response from the Mapshare team, stating that there was insufficient information to make the change, despite the fact I gave them the exact coordinates and the roads in question are plainly visible in Google Earth, Maps and Streetview. All of which I communicated to them, in my submission!

Normally they are very good at acknowledging and acting upon submissions. So I was a little surprised at the rejection.

I have personal experience of this area and was using the 720T purely as an exercise whilst being driven by someone else. The instruction was to make a left turn in to a No Entry street! On the 720 map it shows two streets merging in to one at a junction with a main road. In fact the two streets in question are separate and are both one way in operation.

Here are the Google Earth coordinates, if any one wants to check it :-

47°25'34.46"N 2° 3'9.36"E

If this should be in different thread please feel free to move it!

Bit slow in getting the update for this map this time, but on connection today got the Map 'Europe' and USA & Canada v920, Mapshare update, QuickFix and the latest Europe Cams. All over in about 50 minutes or so but, the download stalled at one point because I had forgotten to turn off 'Sleep' before starting.
All ends well, though.
I do like/appreciate the auto backup which Home provides.

From what date, I wonder as it has a date on that page of a few weeks ago. I did (I think)* DL Mapshare today with the v920 Map.

*Well, it did say DL was successful. Very Happy

None offered today for my 550. I've always wondered if the corrections not accepted by TT for inclusion in the new map, get uploaded again by TT users? Don't people get fed up? Implication might be that mapshare is not as good as it was?

3 or 4 times a year, yes...

Via both the Mapshare tool and an email to TomTom themselves.

Just noticed this week that a road near me which is one way for half its length, has changed to two way for the entire length. Yet on the map reporter tool it is shown correctly. What now?

Although it doesn't excuse the "insufficient info" reply, do be aware that the TomTom map team are strictly BANNED from using Google maps/Google Earth or Google Streetview to make corrections (for copyright reasons). They aren't even allowed to access them for comparison.

Re-submitted this (for the 3rd time) on Thursday, and got a reply that it has been accepted.

We'll see!!!

Thanks for the explanation!
