Phone getting hot

Great product and given i have 6 points I now use this for every journey local or new. Problem is the phone gets hot due to charging and live screen. Did wonder if there was a feature to run in the background to avoid the phone getting hot. Coming down the motorway today I had to switch the phone off and suddenly a warning came through which freaked me out. Realised the phone was still warning me despite phone appearing off and it was not hot!! Have I missed something and accidentally hit a feature to run in the background. I need to hear warnings not see them so would prefer phone running in background anyway.

Well appears I have answered my own question. Yes I am able to run the app with the phone switched off. Started the app then switched the phone off. It then alerted me both with a text alert and voice message, the phone then switched itself off once alert was complete. It picked up all the cameras on a journey I made this evening. Was impressed with this app before today, now really impressed I can run the app without having the phone on all the time.

It's taken me quite some time to realise you don't mean switch the phone OFF, but switched to sleep or standby.
