Article in todays London Evening Standard.

TFL (Transport for London for information of non Londoners) appear to be in the closing stages of securing the decriminalisation of driving in a cycle lane and stopping in the cycle only area at some junctions.

At present a police officer has to witness it and report the driver.
Under new legislation TFL will be able to monitor using CCTV and send the fine in the post.
The article goes on to say that this could be a potential money spinner for TFL.

Once it's up and running in London, I expect other cities and towns will probably follow suite.
