I know that the 740 has a mini USB socket, but is it the 4 or 5 pin version?

Thanks

Not x40 or x50's!! However, the screen mount does.

eg, see http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Tomtom-USB-cable-GO-740-750-540-550-940-950-can-be-used-as-charger-/181090700777?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2a29d8cde9

Pure and simple, the GO x40 models such as the GO 740 do NOT have a USB socket on them of any sort.

Neither do the GO x50 models, nor the GO 1000 models for that matter!

They all have just a 20-way multipin connector.

However, as "justbrowsing" says, the dedicated mounts for them DO have a mini-USB connector (and it does have 5 pins).

Yup, assumed furryfred meant the mount connection, as it would not be possible to confuse a mini-usb with the 20 pin connector. Confused
