For some time now my 940 HD traffic has connected and then dropped out without recovering, in some instances, unless I reset.
The last couple of days it just fails to connect at all over successive one hour or so journeys, it retries 3 or 4 times in this time. Other LIVE services are fine as is the traffic on my iPhone.
The only difference is that the 940, I think, is on Vodafone and the iPhone is on O2 although the fact that some services are available presumably means its not network related.
OT: Vodafone are reporting 3G problems with iOS6.1 on iPhone 4S, probably not related though.

Well i got a different reply - do a full factory reset etc then report back!!

I'm not going to waste my time doing that - the problem is clearly at their end not on my device. It really bugs me that TT support can bury its head in the sand like this or wilfully mislead...

Ditto all round. Crazy. Even when I said this is a known issue, log me as a sufferer, they suggest all the resets. Daft.

I'm not sure why, but whenever I hear about problems with TomTom Live Traffic, I think of this Laughing

Perhaps worth mentioning that HD Traffic is still failing on the device for me, Monday morning. Plugged into Home and it is showing birmingham traffic again. Zooming in shows an item 142 miles away. The most "vertical" item is 130 miles away.

I do so like the fact that this proves that I did once get Birmingham information from HD Traffic, before they reduced the range.

I do so hate the fact that this proves that TomTom don't know how to run their own service, such that support are not in touch with the operations people or vice versa to work out what broke it.

I wonder if it is connecting today? It could be that it was working Sunday as the number of devices in operation was low. And that Monday comes and it fails as everyone gets on the road again?

What firmware version, and what range are you seeing? How far away is your furthest incident (simple north or south, not east or west).

My 550 has been behaving it self (even connected without reboot this morning Smile )

I wonder if Vodaphone's iOS6.1 issues is related

Run a 550 with 9.465. Live near Junc 16 of M25. Today showing incidents as far north as Sheffield.

Edit: 135 miles.

Services seems to be back up and running here. Furthest visible incident is just over 151 miles away.

Wow! My 740 is working today, and I still have long range traffic to Birmingham! Hurrah! TomTom are the best ever!

(I'm happy to let that enthusiasm last - doubtless there will be something they can do to let us down soon.)
