Garmin Nuvi 1490LMT - speed camera voice alerts break up

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1490LMT and everything works fine except that the speed camera voice alerts break up from time to time almost as if the processor has gone off to do something else for a moment and then comes back to finish off the phrase. Garmin announcements seem to work ok.

I converted the MP3 files into .wav files and these all play ok on my PC. They have been loaded onto the Garmin successfully as they usually work okay.

I find this tends to happen when you are over the speed limit. I.e. where normally it would play back multiple 'bongs' it tries playing back the longer voice files multiple times - but while the previous one is still playing...
