Can you give more details of what you want to achieve?
IGO is navigation software, but you're asking in section for questions about the PGPSW speed camera database.

Can you access the filing system of the device with a computer? Are there any clues in the manusal? If the answer to the first question is 'yes' and the software is iGO, then it should be fairly straightforward. Let us know.

PM from Shino...

Quote:
I was informed that the F Series run-iGo software But Iwill need txt version of the speed cam database to put on my micro sd card, Hope that helps

Hi Shino,

I've copied your PM here as it will help others who have a better knowledge of that system than me, to assist you.

One thing I do know is that satnav brands use iGo software and a .txt version of the database, so there will already be a download available.
Have a look through the compatibility chart here and you should find one that uses iGo or the .txt format (eg Alpine or Blaupunkt).

Or hav I got the wrong end of the stick and you've found those already but can't get them to work?

PM from Shino
Quote:
No i cannot access filing system, only access is through Navque, I was inform
that if i get txt version of the speed cam database imported on my micro sd card, which then put into satnav would import database into avic, but how do you get the txt version of the speed cam database, I am a novice where computers are concerned, thankyou for your time
And my reply:
Yes, it can be downloaded from here, but first you need to know a bit more about how the cams are imported off the SD onto the device. If you can find a little more info, especially about the format of the .txt file from your informant, I'll help you find the right one. If that works, we can publish the results on forum.

@Shino. It's not a good idea to try to sort things out by PM, especially if you are PMing several people as one does not know what the other said and could possibly be wasting their time just repeating what the other person said. In addition, other interested parties (if any) don't get to know the outcome Sad

Then you need to download the iGO file. It's in the download section of the forums. Extract the pocketgps_uk.txt file and presumably put it on the microSD wher you indicated.

PS there does not appear to be a user Almeethyst on this forum Sad

No, the quote is from here.

These units run iGo software, I have the .txt version of the speed cam database imported into my AVIC-F9110BT already Smile

Just put the .txt file on an SD card as \poi\speedcam\speedcam.txt and it should be imported when the card is inserted.

Right then SHINO, now we know how to do it, what extra help do you need to enable you to do it? Do you know about creating folders on an SD card for instance (no insult intended)?

@Jock. Your link is broken (I think). And I guess that I should have remembered that post Rolling Eyes
