MaFt and I are have iPhone 5's so there was no 'update'. Have just checked my 4 and that has been updated and is British English - go figure

Thats the issue I have noticed, people see English and assume its for the UK, but its not! I'm not sure what it affects other than the Cellular data/Mobile data differentiation!

It won't have a drastic effect. Spell checker, perhaps some SIRI stuff and other localisations, nothing major though.

My 4S has just seconds to go with the update download, so I looked and it says English and has British English at the bottom of the choices. I noticed it also had English for Voice Control, so I presume that will have to be changed too if iOS 6 doesn't do it already. Maybe that was Siri's problem, didn't speak the Queen's English, the pillock!
