Twice last night, my sat nav was completely lost, when it crossed a road it tried to give me crazy instructions about what to do now. It had clearly lost its way. Was that likely to be a problem with the nav or the satellites or?

Could have been a temporary loss of signal - was it a built up area at all? Did you have a micrwave cooking in the car?

Some of it was on the A2 so it was a main road that it had seen before, some a bit more in the sticks. Suggested I was wandering in a field with no road, then found a road and started giving me directions that were clearly nonsense.

It is still under warranty, so just don't want to make a fool of myself by saying the nav is faulty when if it was the satellites. But does not sound like anyone else has had this.

It's not necessarily faulty. Just a momentary loss of signal could be enough to confuse it for a second producing the effect you saw.

Can happen to any sat nav and has happened to all of mine at one time or another. Nothing major unless it keeps happening.

Your sat nav will be gettIng signals from several satellites at the same time. Unless they all had the same problem at the same time.....

Used our Nissan SatNav (central England) on Wednesday and it was fine.

I have the latest map installed (25920BH00D).
