|
|
Just checking my 720 after updating any road changes and I note that I appear to have the maps of Western Europe in both memory locations and only have 132mb left internally. I remember installing the maps on the 4gb SD mem card originally.
Can I delete the internal one or is it better to do the SD card one ? _________________ TomTom 720

Make **absolutely** sure the map on the sdhc card is the same as the one on internal. If so, you can delete the one on internal.
Hopefully, your sdhc card is fast enough (class 6+) to keep up with the demands of the processing unit regarding read/writes. _________________ David |

I have the old map which is around 1.8GB. the new one is bigger and the whole of Europe map is over 2 Gb of course... so definitely goes on the SD card _________________ TomTom 720

I keep the western zone on internal then put all my UK pois and favourites etc on it and all my French ones on WE on the card. It also gives me a map if ever my SD card failed. _________________ TT Go Essential |

And of course allows you to remove the SD when traveling in France... just in case. _________________ TomTom 720

But, TomTom Home still wants me to buy its French camera warnings on a promotion. _________________ TT Go Essential |
