Have you tried this one? But it seems to relate to installing rather than just running. Sad

Thanks for that I have tried that before and it has not worked to resolve the issue at startup. I also did something similar in FF as the problem started when I installed FF12, however this also did not prevent CM asking for a digital sign at startup.

downloaded app to see if would help for setting up my poi and it just hangs - removed registry settings and restarted and got further

not sure what it's doing but the minute you point it to a folder it's creating files

PocketGPS_SC_Gatso.tmp - 3mb
PocketGPS_SC_Overspeed.tmp - 4mb

this is along with other files, but it is extremely slow (running on i7-2600k, 16gb ram) in whateva it is doing

It's generating files called GPX files which are large in comparison with the original CSV files. Not sure why it's taking so long on your PC though.

yeh, not sure why was taking ages

when it's generating the files is it taking the format from when you last downloaded

ie uk zoned complete with wav voices

or does it use a preset version it will download

Yes it downloads its own version ie speedzoned complete, for the countries you've selected, plus pmobiles if selected, plus its own voice components if selected.

A bit of work, I'm afraid.

Beacause CameraManager has its own way of naming the camera files and icon files, then all the voice (wav) files have to be renamed to match.

You need to end up with sets of files (.bmp, .gpx and .wav) all named the same, like this:

PocketGPS_SC_Gatso_Fifty.bmp
PocketGPS_SC_Gatso_Fifty.gpx
PocketGPS_SC_Gatso_Fifty.wav

thanks for the info on that - i'm rebuilding the database so it splits it into speed/camera type and direction.

just trying to work out when it gives a value

PocketGPS_SC_Gatso.gpx
PocketGPS_SC_Specs.gpx

If these are unverified or variable speeds

As using the sounds from the UK Zoned Complete download

Also noticed it may output the following

PocketGPS_SC_Specs_Fifty

but not

PocketGPS_SC_Specs_Sixty

even though it will have PocketGPS_SC_Specs_Sixty_E

Also what is PocketGPS_SC_Overspeed for, are these certain cameras or for warning if you over the speed limit

I'd guess that the ones without specified speed-limits, are either variable limits or where there has been an (as yet) unverified report of a change to the limit.

I guess the missing voice file, is because there is no camera of that exact description in that week's download.

The Overspeed voice file is described on the Timings page of Camera Manager. It is a secondary warning, and, if selected, it will chime if you are near a camera and over the set limit.

thanks again

I've got all my voices created from the UK Zoned Complete download and saved them off to another folder along with my modded icons

this has created a 56.3mb file so will post if this works

I've just looked through my GPX file list to check sizes. The largest is the Gatso30 weighing in at 2,084Kb whilst in comparison my Gatso50 is only 221Kb and is not the smallest.

ps: This is using my GPX converter, not Ash's

I think the reason it's taking ages is because of the download speed from pocketgpsworld.

For some reason it is extremely slow download compared to downloading stuff from other websites

even downloading the 19mb database itself took ages - so either the servers are busy, upload limit from server or bt preventing fast download from site
