Yes they work OK. First time that stuffit on my mac has unzipped the zip.zip file to give a zip folder. Always before given a zip.zip folder that has needed to be renamed to zip. Progress? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

What makes you say that?
The made a cock-up, they corrected it. How's that "not caring"? _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

When I got my 750 live, I asked TT about a UK English female, computer voice, I was told that this was no longer available. As I understand it this is due to a licensing issue. As I said to TT that’s perfectly understandable, why should TT pander to the whims of the millions of existing and or potential UK English customers?
I did manage to get the voice I was after (thanks to this forum )
However that’s not really the point is it. |

Strange... I'm assuming you mean "Kate" as I think that was the only female UK computer voice in the days when TomTom licensed the Loquendo speech engine.
AFAIK "Kate" was always available on every model that used Loquendo, but for me it was the male voice "Simon" that went awol on a couple of models.
TomTom then changed providers of the speech engine, so it's no surprise Kate is not available on the newer models and has been replaced by Serena. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Yes Kate
I was not aware TT had released a replacement UK English voice, it’s a pity TT, don’t follow up on customer complaints (I guess they have so many that they could not cope, not sure that’s a situation TT should be happy with), if they had done so, TT could have given me a satisfactory (if somewhat delayed) resolution, and not left me thinking that they were completely uninterested in there UK customers.
I found the link to the question I asked here after TT told me that there was no female UK English voice
