I have noticed that Sandisc is not a recomended back up from a few of the members. I am using a1g card with no problems in a 2210 . Should I expect some problems soon?

I think it depends upon what combination of hardware and software you use. Based upon my own experience with a 128MB Sandisk in an iPaq 3870 I bought a 1GB one to use in an iPaq 5550 and have been very happy with it.

I mainly use it with CoPilot 5 and Sprite Backup, but have also used it with STPro V2 and TomTom V2. It is rather slow with TomTom, but fine with the other programs. With the program and maps installed on the card CoPilot can do very quick (<5 seconds) route calculations for very long routes, e.g. John O'Groats to Land's End or Milton Keynes to Spa Francorchamps.

I think the card may service I/O requests a bit slowly, which can cause waits when reading or errors when writing if the program doing the writing does not test that one write has completed correctly before submitting the next one.

I suggest you leave the card in the 2210 all the time and do not try to use it in a reader attached to a PC.

There are no major problems with the SanDisk cards, however, the Ultra II ones are the best.

There is a problem with the HP2210 SD driver which for some reason doesn't work well with many SD cards.

I have uses 6 different types of SD card now and CF work better that any of the SD cards tested.

I've never heard this before... is it common knowledge?

I have a 2210 but have never used an SD card. That's not to say I wont at some point in the future though.

AFAIK there are no issues with the 2210/2215 SD reader/writer interface. The only problem that is known is that when using the SD card you may find it causes a drop out in BT connection, this is the only known issue.

That's correct Dave, apologies I wasn't very clear about that, HP are investigating dropouts using SD & Bluetooth, I have dropout problems whilst using a Motorola V600, V80 and various nokia phones too.
