Go here

and create your own screens. Select a 920 as the model since it too has a wide screen and the resultant file you'll download will be properly sized and named splashw.bmp

The small screen models use a file called 'splash.bmp'' whereas the widescreen models use a file called 'splashw.bmp'

Similarly, on recent models/software you have a 'suspend.bmp' or 'suspendw.bmp' for the shutdown image (unless you have opted to be warned not to leave the TomTom in the car in which case 'antitheft.bmp' or 'antitheftw.bmp' gets used instead).

If you are using a wide-screen version the splash and suspend files will be 480 x 272 pixels.

Non-widescreen models are 320x240 pixels and you used to have to rotate the picture (to 240x320) before loading it, but you haven't had to do that for ages as far as I know.

If you choose one of screens on the machine already, I believe the one you choose gets created and named splashw.bmp by the software

Anyone got something with the Focus ST on it?

Been trawling google images for sometime now but not found much. (that is to say a white ST, not orange, blue or a blinking RS...)

antitheftw

and being a bit bored, i did one for my friend, not sure if she needs a widescreen or normal format so i did both

also noticed that photobucket has converted my nice .bmp files into jpgs so if you want any of them, just drop me a pm and i'll put them on sendspace or something.

Firstly you have to rename the existing splashw.bmp. I suggest that you call it splashwold.bmp, (if you have the small screen omit the 'w') unless you have overwritten the existing file. This seems unlikely as you are still getting the original splash screen.

You must be certain that your new one is named exactly the same as the old one, and that it is the same size ie 480 x 272 pixels for the wide screen version, and 320 x 240 pixels for the smaller screens, and it must have a bmp extension.
