Having just purchased the cameralert app for my Iphone4 4.3.2 , it does not seem to be working with my tom tom app, having subscribed for the year, l have updated the cams on the app and set it to open tom tom when launched but when l run a trip in demo mode on my app it does not show any warnings from the cameralert only the tomtom alerts and nothing from the cameralert, any help would be great.

The demo mode of TomTom is only that, a demo. As your device is not actually moving, CamerAlert doesn't sense anything - it is tied to your device, not the TomTom app. You'll get the warnings when you actually drive somewhere.

if l use the hack for the tomtom app ie put the cams in the data base, would the cams work in demo mode? just a thought as running two apps blasts the baterry life, and l like to run demo mode before l set off anywhere as a heads up.

Running two apps uses no more power, they're both sharing the same GPS data.

and just in case you're misunderstanding how this works, CamerAlert will NOT show cameras In TomTom, demo mode or otherwise. It's a standalone app that can run together with a nav app. If it's running behind TomTom then you will hear the CamerAlert warnings.

You may want to have a read of the user-guide:

Well you don't have to. And it's not a solution we support, its complex, time consuming and, apart from icons on the map, adds little.

Up you you though.

With my iPhone 3GS (running CamerAlert and NOTHING else), I wouldn't dream of going out without it sitting in a powered mount - I tried it once with no power on the mount and it went flat before I got home (several hours drive).
