Hi,

I have just got a Sammy Galaxy S2 and fancied trying the Cameralert prog as my current tomtom does not switch itself on with ignition (crap tomtom software).

So i took the plunge and purchased the app from android market, and re-subscribed to PGPSW (i subscribed once a few years ago for the tomtom)

Everything appears to work so far, just a couple of questions.

When i do 'Manage Cameras' should there not be a 'your database is up to date' message, if it is indeed up to date?

Oh, and can i now download the latest database for my tomtom.

Oh and can/how do i change the username/pass for this site as it appears to have appropriated one which i will never ever remember!

chrs in advance

Steve

No, only when it is out of date - you will get a spoken warning on launching the app. You can download the database at any time and this will take a live snapshot of the current database from the server - this is why sometimes the number of cameras on the device differs from those on the server until you do an update.

Yes. If you go to the download page on the site you will have access to the downloads but see my reply below too:

Yes you can. There are 2 ways. If you can remember your old subscription details then you can link your account in the app using those - this will transfer the subscription to the other forum account. If you can't remember it then you can submit a support ticket and let us know any email addresses you may have used with it and we can reset the password etc.

If you used to use NTL then your username may be: Peanut44

if you can login to Peanut44 then I would recommend you use the option in CamerAlert to link the account. The subscription will be transferred to Peanut44 and then you can use that username for posting in the forums as well as for downloading the database for your tomtom.

If you can't remember the password and do not have access to the email account anymore then you will need to open a support ticket whereby Darren will interogate you and sort you out Wink

And I presume that in the Manage Cameras part of the app it now shows the correct username as well as the correct subscription expiry date?
