Car safe for 07 Passat Estate

This does have a connection with SatNavs: I don't want my new TomTom to be stolen like the last one and want somewhere secure to store it.

There are lots of boxes on Ebay that attach with a cable, but a much neater solution would be to make the locker to the right of the steering wheel secure.

Any suggestions, anyone?

I've always been of the view that if something in a car has a lock on it then a thief will assume there is something valuable inside it.

Personally if I can't carry a satnav with me I will throw it (put it carefully) in the boot in and amongst all the other junk in there.

The presence of a locakable area or a safe etc could be tempting fate and may result in a smashed window even if the 'safe' is empty...

As MaFt has said, and with my ex-copper hat on, if you're going to use a safe, it needs to be out of sight.

Any lock you can put on a cubby will be defeated in seconds and the sight of a lock is a red flag to any of our light fingered friends.
