Recently I navigated to a car park (chosen from a local guide) using TomTom and found it wasn't the place to take a large MotorHome!!!.
It would be nice if there was such a thing as a POI file covering parking areas suitable for larger vehicle.

It occured to me that perhaps there is some kind of publication available to Coach Drivers that might be a place to start.

Any input welcome

Roy

I've created a PoI set for use in conjunction with information on my Motorhome Parking web site HERE.

The set is free to download but only from my web site as that is the only way that I can ensure it is kept up to date and caveats which accompany it can be highlighted.

I think there are several differences of types of parking that need to be taken into account.

You say you are after coach parking places to park a motor-home? Do that in Oxford and you'll get fined Sad

Park in coach bays at motorway services in a motor-home and you could get clamped too.

I would think what is needed are parking areas suitable for motor-homers, and a separate POI for Coaches and separate for trucks too.

Quite a mammoth task though isn't it.

Unfortunately, you're replying to a VERY old topic (last post over 3 years ago), so I doubt if the original people are still following it.

Shame Alix never managed to get his list converted.

I think he's still around, maybe he'll see this?

My PoI set (see post above from 4 and a half years ago) is still available though no longer being updated.
