I used to find the compass on my 950 very useful but I can't see a way to turn it on on the 1005 - am I missing something obvious? Did a quick search but couldn't see an answer here already... Thanks

Nope, you're not missing something obvious... Not having the compass is yet another "improvement" in the new models.

See Some depressing lists

Well that's a bit pants. Crying or Very sad Thanks for the link. I wonder if TomTom listen to their customers - maybe no one wanted the compass...

Maybe it's time to look at other manufacturers next time I buy a Sat Nav! TT are the only ones with Live Traffic though aren't they?

I think Garmin have just introduced something similar (or improved their RDS Traffic).
TT are still considered the best, but the competition are coming up fast.
